How can you achieve an increase in SEO positions with minimal resources? This was the challenge we faced, as Pacific Island Travel was not sufficiently findable on its key search terms.
Approach
We found out after an analysis that some of the most important pages on the website were undervalued. This turned out to be the result of internal link juice. In simple terms, internal link juice is the value that web page X carries because web page Y links to web page X.
On Pacific Island Travel's website, the most important web pages were considered less important by search engines and scored too low in search results. In order for these important pages to rank better, a new internal link structure was devised in which the most important pages would be given more authority.
Result
- The adjustment of the link structure resulted in an increase of key keywords to positions 1, 2 and 3. Thanks to this position increase, total organic traffic increased by a whopping 67% compared to 2018.
